Welcome!

First things first, I'm Mel. (DarkSideoftheSun on etsy)

Now that that's out of the way, I have a bit of a story for you!

Not too terribly long ago, Coldie (MotherMoonGems) and I agreed that there should be some sort of BPAL team on etsy. After all, BPAL does have some creative, artistic fans, right? Of course, we wanted the lab's blessings because, while we're unofficial, I believe that it's better to obtain permission when you may not need it than to go ahead with something only to have someone tell you that you can't do it. Alicia (Elements & Artifacts) suggested that I email customer service and ask them, so I sent off an email on Friday. Sunday night/Monday morning, I was working on a necklace (and homework!) when I noticed that the treasuries would be opening soon. I've been determined to get a treasury for a while, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I should mention that I got one before, but didn't name it quickly enough, so it got taken away. While I was waiting on them to open, I tried to come up with a theme...something different. I knew some of the people that I wanted to feature, but I wasn't sure how to tie them all together. Then it hit me. BPAL! I should make a treasury featuring all BPAL crafters! The name was easy after that! Once I was done making the treasury, I sent convos to everyone featured and listed as an alternate, letting them know that they were included. The shock of the day was when I checked Twitter and saw that Beth had tweeted about the treasury! The response seemed to be overwhelmingly good, which made me happy. This made me even more sure that there NEEDED to be a team. I then got an email from the lab saying that they would love having an etsy team. That's all the motivation that I need!

And that brings us to here.

This team isn't only for people who sell on etsy, but also for people who buy. It's for anyone who loves, or is interested in, BPAL. It's to promote and help each other. I hope it can be as warm and fun as the forum can be!

Coldie and I thought that "Mad Tea Party" would be a great name for the team since it was the name of the treasury that, in a way, started it all. The name can be changed up to the point that we submit the info to etsy to be listed as a team. The address to the blog, as well as most, if not all things, is teambpal. There's a much better chance that it won't be taken when signing up for things! I've started a Google group for the team, but I'll get to that in another post.
